Newshare(sm) is a for-profit cooperative of local and to-specific "co-publishers," called Publishing Members..

Newshare(sm) co-publishers may have ancillary business interests in weekly, periodic or specialty publishing or broadcasting. However, all have committed contractually to making Newshare(sm) a principal, though not necessarily exclusive, means of information dispersal and advertising. Cooperative co-publishers are granted geographic or subject-area rights to use the Newshare(sm) name, format and multimedia contents.
